"Van Jamme continues to unveil his story with 'The Waiting Game Part 2' EP"

Let's be honest, it is incredibly hard for artists to break into the music scene. In 2017, it seems every artist needs to find their niche if they want to differentiate themselves from their contemporaries and cut through the noise. One such artist, Van Jamme out of Los Angeles, is doing just that. With his, The Waiting Game EP trilogy, Jamme is breaking away from the pack with a story-driven, cohesive and well-executed series of EPs.

The LA artist has been releasing parts of the series on consistent Fridays, and today we find ourselves at TWG Part 2. While TWG Part 1 saw our hero receiving a mysterious phone call promising a better life and the realization of all his dreams, part 2 sees our hero struggling with his new found success.

Throughout the course of the five-song EP, Jamme drives the story along with a sharp rhyme scheme and a killer flow. Though the project as a whole is on point, "New Thangz" is by far its standout. Jamme settles in on this track and shreds the beat to pieces with his relentless flow. On top of his strong rapping ability, Jamme recruits a handful of producers to set the stage for each track. HyperViolet, Cecil, Countach, and Rickie Long all hold their own on TWG Part 2, giving the project a well-rounded feel that fits the EP's overall motif.

The third and final EP of the series will be released April 7. Until then, give Part 1, and Part 2 (above) a listen and stay locked on EARMILK for more dope tunes. - Earmilk

"Introducing: van Jamme"

Probably some of the best emerging rap I’ve listened to in the last few months. I promise you’re gonna love this EP – a unique vocal tone accompanied by brash neo-soul beats, appropriately overdriven. - Purple Melon

"SOUNDCLOUD DIGGIN EPISODE 57 (APRIL 2, 2017)"

We only got one hip-hop dig for you this week and it comes from van Jamme. His new cut ‘WHEREDEYDODAT’ features a mind-numbing beat matched with a distinct (& catchy!) delivery. This is the type of track that just gets stuck on your mind. It’s been hard for me to get this delivery out of my head since I heard it. This isn’t all the way perfected but showcases a ton of potential. – malbin - Fashionably-Early

"Newcomer Van Jamme seems to be 'Never Lackin'"

We just found another hidden gem as we stumbled upon the up and coming newcomer Van Jamme who had us vibing from the start on his new single 'Never Lackin.' - Moody Without Music

"van Jamme - Lobby feat. Millionaire Max [Review]"

“ Lobby” has a dope feeling to it! Would love to see a video to this joint! 3.5/5 - LA On Lock

"van Jamme - A L i V E"

The first Beatnotiks website was launched early 2015. It wasn’t as clean and fast as the newly launched website but we still had a small fanbase who would submit music. One of the first artist to believe in Beatnotiks was van Jamme out of Los Angeles. His newly released ‘A L i V E’ EP is meant to “uplift & energize.” The lyrical skills of van Jamme have improved from the earlier tracks I have heard. A personal favorite is ‘Forgive Em’ featuring Estilos, which includes a melodic beat with a hard hook. Take a second to listen to a couple of tracks to ‘A L iV E’ and share with a friend. - Beatnotiks

"Van Jamme delivers the final installment of his EP series with 'The Waiting Game EP Pt 3' Read more at http://earmilk.com/2017/04/08/van-jamme-delivers-the-final-installment-of-his-ep-series-with-the-waiting-game-ep-pt-3/#bYV8pUOvj4o1uQOJ.99"

LA’s own Van Jamme is back with the third and final installment in his The Waiting Game series with The Waiting Game Pt 3.

After battling with the woes of success on TWG Pt 2, we find our hero deciding what the success is worth before continuing further down this path. The well-crafted EP once again shows Jamme is an artist to watch while also showcasing many of his collaborators in a positive light. From friend and fellow rapper, Amon, to his string of producers, Pt 3 is Jamme's best yet.

At first glance, "Take Me Up + Amon" may be a candidate for strongest song of the EP, as both artists go in on their respective verses. However, Van Jamme and his TWG Pt 3 EP has much more depth than one dope track.

The entire EP is fire with each song feeling just as good, or better, than the last. C’Mar the Producer’s woozy horns on “Swimmin,” add a touch of depth to the project, starkly contrasting the production and overall feel of the other songs. Likewise, both “Doubt” and “For Granted” each has their own unique vibe, making the project as whole shine with a lifelike vibrancy.

Without revealing too much of the finale, Jamme wraps the three-part series up nicely on his final track, “For Granted.” It’s a touching dedication that brings both our hero’s journey and this project to a satisfying close.

Give the third and final installment of Van Jamme’s The Waiting Game a listen above and be sure to snag the full completed series via iTunes and all streaming platforms April 21st. - EARMILK
