VANYN

VANYN is a Moscow-based indie-band. The band was formed in 2015 year. It began as an acoustic indie-rock project of Vladimir Borisov (guitar) and Andrey Vanyn (vocal, guitar). The name of the band means life on wheels (eng. "vanning"), when a car became a house and working space for a band, so as their approach to writing music - like they are travelling through different genres mostly from rock of the 60s to the present days pop.  They always experiment with their music style, drifting with their songs from country folk to alternative rock and drum&base. VANYN have found a very unique sound for the Russian region and they keep on searching for new ways of expression, but with the same positive vibe and filled with crazy energy they produce on the stage. VANYN do not going after the mainstream, but making their own way through the genres jungle with a cheeky smile of an adult, first discovered rock'n'roll, but inspired by his own music compass.   

Since VANYN have released their first LP "Liberty Day" in 2017 yeah they have played more than 300 gigs around the hole country. From small bars to a thousand visitors concert halls and biggest Russian festivals as Wild Mint, World Skills, Esquire picnic and Bosco Fresh Festival. In 2017 they take part in Sofar Sounds international project and got a place in a top chart of the project with the song "Son Of The Morning". 

In 2018 they have released their first work with a sound producer Robin Axford (UK) - a single "On Top Of The Moon" and got their first Europen show on the Sziget festival in Budapest. 

Since 2019 year VANYN are concentrating on the studio work, recording a new long play. The release of a new album, which will contain 10 original tracks is scheduled on the end of summer 2020.
