Good old Rock and Roll, with plenty of swagger.

A family of record producers, engineers, and musicians-for-hire, Variac
is a load-bearing pillar in Atlanta's booming rock scene. When
guitarist Kris Sampson is not developing artists himself (Ocha La
Rocha, The Coathangers), he is thrashing about the stage in his
signature, guitar-slinging frenzy. Live Sound guru and session
guitarist Ryan Pitchford provides the band's distinct howl, and
professional composer and former Butch Walker Band bassist JT Hall
fronts the group with a trademarked southern swagger. Recording Studio
Manager James Pinkstone provides the band's low-end, and ex-FILM
drummer Tommy Tjoflat supplies the beat.

Nominated for "Best New Band" by Atlanta Music Guide and lauded by
Southeast Performer Magazine for their "fierce sound and fully
fleshed-out, well-arranged songs," the members of Variac bring a
thrilling, high-energy live show to every venue they play. The sound of
rock in Atlanta is changing, and Variac is one of the reasons.
