Bio

Vascular Symphony was formed in the summer of 2000 by Theodore Sharpless and Philip T. Lacinak in Tampa, FL. They promptly began writing, rehearsing, and recording, and played their first live show in December of that year. Vascular Symphony has been strengthening their craft ever since, playing over one hundred live shows throughout the south eastern United States. They have opened for Gwar’s Girlie Freak Show and through word of mouth, Vascular Symphony has attracted members of the Genitorturers, Pigface, and Control Denied to attend their live shows.

Vascular Symphony creates heavy, industrial rock music which is loosely based on the mysteries of unexplained phenomenon. The band has a vast array of musical influences including the Buzzcocks, Ministry, Ramones, and Primus. Their live show is synonymous to the explosive energy of their sound. Vascular Symphony presents a very intense show both visually and sonically, incorporating unique costuming and custom built staging and lighting. Vascular Symphony has a philosophy of giving the audience a complete and total show, no matter how big or small the venue may be. Thom Butler, the owner of the Bodhisattva Social Club, had this to say about Vascular Symphony after they played his small Orlando, FL club for the first time,

“They’re like an arena show in a shot glass!”

There are four members of Vascular Symphony. Theodore Sharpless – sequenced drums and bass guitar, Philip Thaddeus Lacinak – lead vocals, Christoffer Welteson – lead guitar, and Tramaine Dion – backing vocals and public relations.

In October of 2006, Vascular Symphony was presented with the privilege to occupy a professional recording studio designed and used by the late Chuck Schuldiner (Death, Control Denied). Vascular Symphony realizes the value and importance of this opportunity, and is utilizing the studio’s full potential while working hard on new music. Vascular Symphony is focused on the success of the band, and is excited for what the future holds.

Vascular Symphony self produced and released their first official album entitled “10” in July of 2006. “10” is generating a lot of attention, and is receiving regular airplay on Rollins College radio (WPRK 91.5 FM – Orlando, FL). Their next CD entitled, “9” is scheduled for release in the summer of 2007.
