"Vasudeva Review by Dan Graziano"

Direct from the halls of NASH comes a thundering threesome of indie rock fury. Though their new demo CD may only be three tracks long, it is plenty long enough for you to love them and leave you wanting more. The musical stylings of the trio compliment each other perfectly in technique and sound. Chad Gerbe’s ripping guitar slices through the pounding of Chris Muller on drums and Derek Faux’s subtle, yet omnipresent, roving bass lines. And that’s nothing to say towards their creativity. The percussion section fills in beautifully behind Chad’s ingeniously creative yet devilishly simple riffs; even with his more subdued playing each note hits you right where he intends it to. His soulfully written lyrics make you wonder where a man of his age could have garnered the experience of a seasoned poet. Easily the highlight of the disc is the anthem “Even After You” which tells of an experience familiar to all and yet under appreciated. It is so beautifully done that you will feel proud to have feelings of heartbreak. These three key tracks have become favorites within my library and my only criticism of Vasudeva is that they tempted us so early with so little. - North Allegheny High School Newspaper

Bio

Vasudeva (pronounced vah-soo-deh-vah) got together in October of 2006 and played their first show in February of 2007. Chad, with his cutting guitar sound and souring vocals, has been jamming with Derek, with his driving bass, in each other’s basements since 2003. When Chris, with his thundering drum style, was introduced, Vasudeva was born.
