Bio

Erupting onto the L.A. rock scene in the Spring of 2012, Vattica is a progressive and hard-hitting trio of organic indie-alternative rock. Infusing a fresh and unique sound into a widely accepted & sustainable genre of music, this powerful triumvirate instills a transcendent illumination of rock – incorporating hooky, striking guitar riffs, memorable vocal melodies and a commanding rhythm section of dynamic variety and complexity, solidifying the band as a dominant and arresting force to be reckoned with.

Engaged and inspired by the influences of Muse, 30 Seconds To Mars, Green Day, Our Lady Peace, U2 and The Clash, Vattica’s music incorporates an artistic expression in its lyrics and tone that addresses the band’s ongoing journey of rising to the challenge of battling the internal and external forces which ‘test’ one’s existence. Vattica’s debut EP, “The Assayer”, was recorded by Fred Archumbault (Avenged Sevenfold, Lost Prophets, Get Scared) and produced by Gus Cryns (Panic! At the Disco, Escape The Fate, Foxy Shazam, Dead Rabbits, The Academy Is) and was released worldwide in May 2012.

In a true DIY business model, Vattica has unrelentingly pushed themselves by tackling all aspects of a working band – having entirely self-generated their emergent success. In addition to independently distributing “The Assayer” (which is currently available via iTunes, Amazon and Spotify), Vattica adopts a cinematic quality to their creative development, producing and directing their own promotional and music videos. Their latest video effort, “Cannibal,” continues to embrace audiences, having gained over 23,000 unique views within the first week of its release.

The band’s aggressive drive to share their music and connect with fans frequently takes them out of their home base of Hollywood, Los Angeles, touring the United States and performing in festivals and celebrated venues across major cities. Vattica has also begun to see a response across international waters, gaining exposure and fans in Europe, Asia and Latin America.

Vattica is Alexander Millar (lead vocals / guitar), Joey Jane (bass, backing vocals) and Prentice Daggs (drums / percussion, backing vocals). At home, the band has built a strong, diverse and dedicated fan base within the greater Los Angeles area, tirelessly performing live in legendary venues including The Viper Room, Roxy Theatre, Canyon Club, The Troubadour and the Whisky a Go-Go – assertively positioning themselves among the most promising up-and-coming national touring Artists and bands in their genre.
