Biography

Vaudeville Benny is a unique performer in the vein of performers from bygone days of vaudeville. Relying on his imagination for various sounds and the such as kind of a Frankenstein monster of a show. In other words a little bit of this and a little bit of that or a piece of this and piece of that to complete a performance. He is of the undead school of rock. He likes to frequent grave yards for inspiration not unlike Dr. Frankenstein except he comes away with song lyrics and guitar riffs, not dead bodies. Vaudeville Benny is a one man show. He plays a hybrid style of rockabilly & blues guitar with a little Hendrix feedback thrown into the mix. Iconic imagery of the Hot rod culture, Horror films and Rockabilly/Blues subculture can be found in his music. As his sidekick he stomps a bass drum named "egore" with a tambarine fixed on the inside for some jangle and a floor tom to beat on when the mood strikes. He has been called eccentric and a little on the crazy side(only during a Full Moon, Halloween, etc.). He has a cult following he calls his "VaudeVillains" that are a loyal bunch from regular folks to weirdo's and misfits from all walks of life. His sound has been dubbed "6ft. underground Rock 'n' Roll. <<>> Benny and his bands have shared the stage and opened shows for: Reverand Horton Heat, Anson Funderburgh & the Rockets, James Harmon band, Webb Wilder, Savoy Brown, Cheap trick and Jason & the Scorchers.
