The best kept secret in music

Press

"News and Observer"

“It’s no wonder Vaughan Penn’s songs keep turning up on television soundtracks including Fox’s “Boston Public” and NBC’s “Providence” within the last year. The singer/songwriter’s new album “Transcendence” is perfectly cinematic and sounds as if it’s just waiting to accompany some drama of your own.” - David Menconi

"Encore Magazine"

“Penn has maintained the introspective folk-rock meets pop feeling that is so prominent on the Billboard charts today with artists such as Sheryl Crow, Michelle Branch, and Angie Aparo.” - Emily White

"Personal Reviews"

“Vaughan is the real deal! Her songs are personal and her voice captivating. Some artists are born with natural talent. Vaughan is one of those people. When she opens her mouth, you can be sure the next note will move you.” - Kevin Edelman, Music Supervisor

"ESP Magazine"

“North Carolina has a budding superstar in its midst and may not even know it yet. Vaughan’s versatility has her mentioned in the same breath with artists as diverse as Lucinda Williams, Sheryl Crow, Shawn Colvin and Nanci Griffith.” - Ogi Overman

"Star News"

“If heartfelt music like this can be achieved in the living room, perhaps artists should reconsider before spending millions in the studios.” - Kristi Singer

"Fox TV Charlotte"

“She sounds a bit like Jewel and looks a little like Sheryl Crow; this NC native is on her way to the top!” - The EDGE
