Vaykate

Born and raised calgarian Vaykate has been in and out of the local hip hop scene for well over 7 years. At 19 (2012) Vaykate was performing and recording under the collaborative name Gold Heights alongside the very talented Danny Grey (musician/producer).After playing multiple shows together throughout the summer of 2012, the two went their seperate ways.Vaykate took a 5 year hiatus from the microphone to focus on financially supporting his young son. After being solid friends from highschool, Vaykate and Kooba Kid met up after years to discuss music. Throughout the year the two worked on a project that was released in late August known as "Kids On Vaykation" with features from locally known artists Transit22 and Saint T. In mid 2018 Vaykate released a solo project produced by both Kooba Kid and Dersmakesbass known as â€œThe Premises". Two features provided by Roller Mills. Along with many singles, Vaykate continues to ensure his come up is not slept on.
