Hailing from the California desert come Vic du Monteʼs Persona Non Grata. The band plays high energy, no-nonsense rock ʻn roll and are no strangers to the road. Formed in 2005 by Chris Cockrell A.K.A Vic du Monte and English musician/producer James Childs. Vic was a pioneer of the desert generator parties

that gave rise to the now legendary Kyuss. Jamesʼ touring with his rock group Airbus had brought him to the USA where they were to meet. Vic and James began working together on material that Vic was performing as Vic du Monteʻs Idiot Prayer and the band soon released their debut album on fellow Kyuss member Brant Bjorkʼs Duna Records. This is when Alfredo Hernandez who played drums in Kyuss and Queens of the Stoneage joined forces with the band. After the initial US & European tours, Cargo Records in Germany signed the band for their subsequent eponymous release and the band remained on the road in Europe throughout 2005/6. In 2008, they began work on their self- released “Autoblond” album which won the attention of even more rock and roll fans and critics alike, including their current label Go Down Records. The “Split Connection” Ep was released in 2009 followed by more touring as the bandʼs relationship with their Italian label grew. This resulted in the release of the 2011 “Barons & Bankers” LP and more touring. Even though the group then went their separate ways in pursuit of other projects, all along they have been writing and working on material for a new record called “Pagan Holiday” that was released on Jamesʼ label “Spira Records” in September 2015.

A short tour in Europe followed the release of the album and now more touring as the new year unfolds, they hope to see you on the road. This is Persona Non Grata!
