Lyrics

High

Written By: Emaline Delapaix

Seated by the sunlight and gazing on, winters darkness, I keep on fighting.
Rope the sun, I'm waiting to be high, so high.

How much, do you wanna know,
when the sky falls on open ground. When time is ticking over yes when time is ticking over.

Well go on, say something.
You want to know.
Go on and say something.
You want to know, oh ooh oh oh oh.

Knee deep in this she says I'm making progress, fight the darkness just take my hand. But it's not just the memories that haunt me, that haunt me.

So how much, do you wanna know, when the sky falls on open ground. When time is ticking over yes when time is ticking over.

Well go on, say something.
You want to know, oh ooh oh.
Go on and say something.
You want to know, oh ooh oh oh oh.

Tell me, when can I go.
Cause I'm drowning in my own shit. I have so much to say and so little time.
Hope grows, in the most peculiar places. Don't you know, don't you know how I feel, I have felt this before a thousend times.

Rainy Day

Written By: Emaline Delapaix

The snows adrift like icing sugar, like the day we made that cake, you got it all over the place, you couldn't stop your smile.

So I press my face against the glass, just to see the fire inside, the building is crumbling, but it's still beautiful.

And you take up a lot of my time. But being here is ok it's ok, yeah just for awhile.
Like the summer we swam in the warm open sea. I can't get rid of this memory, can't get rid of this feeling, can't get rid of this history.

Crazy thoughts run through my head, a kiss goodbye, things left unsaid, traveling time it leaves me feeling tired, but I don't want this to end.

So the journey now leaves another town, it's raining hell and I can't believe that you, cannot look into my eyes.

So this song I keep for a rainy day until the rain beats down and the verandah floods, and the intensity exploding around all gets too much for me. And your flowers smell just like a candy store and if I don't do something now they'll grow into the garden next door, drop their seeds another season, under my skin.

Under my skin, you crawl right under and make your home in me, like a gentle breeze that brushes against my skin you come to me, placid, but that look in your eye fails to disguise the way that you feel, aaah...
