The best kept secret in music

The Velcro Stars are one of the most interesting, original, and level-headed bands to come out of Murfreesboro in a long time. Their songs are simplistic and well arranged, and bring with them hints of Pavement, Blake Babies, and Superchunk. That, combined with three different singers, makes for a good time. - Nashvillezine
The Velcro Stars were next, and they gave us an awesome high energy performance that showed why they’re one of Murfreesboro’s best bands. Their mid-90s Chapel Hill-esque sound is clearly one of the most exciting things going on around here these days. I feel like everytime I see that band I become a bigger fan. - Nashvillezine
We missed the first band, but got there just as headliners Velcro Stars took the stage. Surprisingly, there was a pretty good turnout, and as they began the whole crowd moved right up front. The Stars brought a good share of energy to the tiny rock and roll shithole, and overall the crowd seemed to really enjoy themselves. - Nashvillezine

Bio
We, Velcro Stars, are a five piece indie band that pays particular attention to melody. Basically, we have more hooks than a game of HORSE with your grand pa. Our influences include Television, the Magnetic Fields, Blonde redhead, Van Morrison. What sets us apart from the other bands is that we are the Velcro Stars and they are not.
