"So beautiful a record that the urge to weep each time it plays is irresistible and a release that we can confidently say with qualification you'll find no equal for a fair while in terms of the way it sucks out your emotions with such mercurial grandeur. Proof indeed that some records are literally bigger than others. Simply peerless and perfect" - Losing Today Magazine

"As an album it's been very carefully put together and, if the right music biz sort gets hold of it, has the potential to do rather large things." - Beatmag

Bio

Formed in 2003 and based in Brighton, a city on the South coast of the UK. Veldt produce head soundtracks and electric symphonies for your delectation. It's music that speaks for itself in heartfelt earnest articulation.

Coming on the back of two critically acclaimed singles, veldt's debut album "The Cause; The Effect" (recorded in the basement of an old regency period hotel) has gained them worldwide media and press coverage and an ardent, strong fan base on myspace - www.myspace.com/veldtmusic

Their self produced album mixes a love of 60's score masters (John Barry, Lalo Schifrin & Roy Budd) with psychedelia (The Zombies, Billy Nicholls), emotive vocalists (Scott Walker, Elvis & Dusty Springfield) and is finished off with a gallic twist (Serge Gainsbourg, Francoise Hardy & Jacques Brel). Together these elements combine to make organic eclectic soul music like no other.

Playing live, veldt preform to a collage of self produced movie projections to create a visual and aural psychedelic maelstrom.
