Velvet Star

Velvet Star formed in 2006 by brothers Danny & Corey Jones. Corey quickly recruited his friend Adrian Lamming in on Guitar & the core line up of Velvet Star was born. With a passion for everything from garage punk to the industrial anarchy of Marilyn Manson, Velvet Star began writing their own material. What emerged can only be described as Rock N Roll with a strong punk vibe. A couple of line up changes came & went before the band felt they'd found their true brothers in blood. Ginna, who'd already had much success with previous bands brought the maturity, focus & drive the band needed. Shortly after recording their debut album In The Face Of Vanity for Rocksector Records, lead guitarist Sam Garner quit the band due to the heavy gigging schedule that ensued. The band held auditions within a week & Zebs was immediately their first choice. Since the release of the album, Velvet Star have undertaken several UK tours with bands such as; Faster Pussycat, Vains Of Jenna, The Pleasures, Falling Red, The Treatment & GUN. They've played (5000+) Cockermouth Rock Festival, SOS Festival & have recently been confirmed for Hard Rock Hell Festival in December.
