Bio
Female MC Venomiss is not only a creator of music but also a fan of Hip Hop. She was born in Newark New Jersey and raised throughout Orange, East Orange and Montclair, New Jersey. Her fascination with Hip Hop began at an early age of eight as her older cousins pursued a recording deal. Her most recent body of work, Heiress of The Echelon has been well received by fans and industry insiders alike with over 200,000 streams total on Spotify. The infectious Jersey anthem called "CLAP" has found her in the spotlight internationally and landed her with an Underground Music Award nomination for Best Female Rapper in 2015. This nomination opened many doors for the up and coming artist.
Venomiss' debut video for "They Want" was featured on allhiphop.com and thisis50.com as well as many other sites across the web. Her album has received a great deal of press landing her on many blog sites and in The Hype Magazine's Next to Blow list in their Spring, 2016 issue as well as a nomination with the Bull City Awards in Durham, North Carolina for Best Female Rapper in 2016. Her video was chosen by Wix Music for two campaigns in 2016 including being screened at South By South West in Austin, Texas on the main event screen and being featured in a Youtube ad campaign.
Venomiss has performed in venues from New York, New Jersey, Virginia, North and South Carolina, Louisiana and Georgia to name a few. Some notable shows include opening for Princess of Crime Mobb and Hip Hop icon KRS One for a crowd of over 1500.
