Biography

Venus In Furs was formed in the nearby of Pisa, when Claudio Terreni (vocals, guitar) and Niccolo’ Ceccotti (drums), just eleven-years-old, decide to put on a band together. After several changing of gender and style (first of all the choice of writing in Italian) the band find its stability with the arrival of Marco Zorro Doni (bass) and following in 2006, Giampiero Silvi (violin, organ), beginning an artistic process which leaded to the collaboration with Nicola Baronti (Phonarchia Produzioni) and with the well-known music producer Daniele Grasso (Afterhours, Greg Dulli, John Parish, John Bonnaire… ). Besides, after being selected from the famous music portals RockOl and RockOff for a 10 tracks compilation, in April 2009, Venus in Furs won “Italia Wave Band Toscana”, represented the region in the prestigious Italian festival, on the main stage during the Woodstock Day. Besides Venus In Furs won in July 2009, “Summer Giovani”, a music contest related to the famous Lucca Summer Festival.
In October Venus In Furs was selected for a compilation published by the important Italian magazine XL (“La Repubblica”) for the forty-yearly of Woodstock Festival called “Woodstock 1969-2009 Prerformed By The Best Italian Bands”. Venus In Furs took part in it with “Volunteers” by Jefferson Airplane with other important Italian bands (like Caparezza, Afterhours, Bugo, Marlene Kuntz etc..).
Now the 20-year-old band members are working on their first Album.
