Venus In Pain

Venus In Pain

ViP are melodic vocals seated on a mixture of Alternative and Metal guitars and bass, build on exceptionally groovy drums.

ViP met in autumn 2005 heading from different musical carreers and backgrounds. Once together they created their own style of music in combining the multiple influences. Drummer Daniel adepted from post Metal experiences toward more Alternative riffing without losing his power, when singer Stylo and guitarist Tobi came up with the first riffs. After starting the bands on stage history at the EMERGENZA 2006 Festival, the press pinpointed the main influences with "Pearl Jam meets Tool", which was taken up by festival hosts and printed magazines (Legacy 02/07, Stardust 02/07). ViP set the stage on fire and rocked the EMERGENZA festival up to the west-germany finals in cologne where they made a terrific second place being an absolut newcomer, thus, earning a showcase gig in London for 2007. After earning the respect of the local metal and rock scene around Hannover, they suprised by playing an full-set unplugged gig leaving a lasting good impression in the media. "Every note and every move on stage transports the contagious temperament of the five ViPs living their music..."

Set List

Sets are typically designed in accordance to the festival requirements (e.g. Emergenza Set is 25-30 min)

Complete set would be 90 min (core time) but usually we tend to create bridges between different songs, or can decide spontaneously to play part of a song longer as a jam, when the audience seems to require it.
