May 2011 will see the release of Vera Vinter’s debut single "Du Gör Mig Rädd", produced by Mattias Olsson (Pineforest Crunch, Gösta Berlings Saga, Änglagård mfl). Her full-length debut album will be released in Fall.

Vera Vinter writes music with a modern take on Swedish folklore. Intensified by her unique dialect called Kalixmål, Vera’s voice weaves delicately with guitar to deliver rich beauty and melancholy. Stora Lappträsk, a small village in the far North of Sweden is where Vera Vinter’s musical soul was born. Red houses in a row, frozen lakes, a scarce population of fifteen and the silence all around. This is the kind of inspiration Vera draws and reflects on through her lyrics. The thread of eagerness to explore a life less safe stems from the nature and surroundings of her home village; the deep forests, chilling winters and free spirited Northern Lights that dance boldly in the sky. The result: honest, heavy-hearted and passionately engaging music.
