Last Thursday night saw four Limerick bands take to the stage at Dolans as this years's JD set got underway. The four bands were "VERFIELD" Secret Police, Decato and Funbobby. Verfield walked away with the prize on the night following a 30min set (mistake in article waiting to play heat 2) Verfield have only been together 8mnths. The JD set was the bands 10th gig to date and intrest in the band is already mounting. The band have been compared to Muse with their lighter tracks bearing similarities to Thhe Beatles. Verfield are unsigned at present and have four track on myspace.com/verfield. Live 95fm's Mike Knightson has been playing their track Light the Torches on his Sunday night radio show. - The Post

Influences come from all genres really, mainly heavy style rock with a bit of blues thrown in for good measure. Loving Muse at the moment, System of a Down, The Mars Volta, Metric, Be your own pet ect. Our energy really comes through on stage, we'll allways give ya a show to remember!
