Sharing a common musical background of the blues and a passion for great music, Vermilion strive to deliver an explosive set of blues funk and rock n roll that any audience can dance to. What sets Vermilion apart is the use of mandolin in a funk rock style, but it’s the soaring vocals, virtuosic guitar playing and funky keyboards that's the real show stopper.
The entire band is from the north coast and three members are from Kyogle. Having lived in Sydney for the past few years, most of the music is about life in the city when your heart's in the country and of course failed relationships- the blues!
Although only being together a short time, Vermilion have concentrated their efforts on producing a quality recording and honing material for their upcoming E.P. All are seasoned performers having cut their teeth playing blues on the north coast. There's a new colour on the streets of Sydney and a fresh sound in the air as the first of the new wave of Aussie talent hits the scene as VERMILION!
