Veronica Kent

Singer-songwriter harpist with a dynamic range and style spanning folk, soul, and pop to jazz and blues. Studied songwriting at Berklee College of Music and by watching and listening to artists such as Roberta Flack, Lauryn Hill, Dorothy Ashby, Alice Coltrane, Nora Jones, Amy Winehouse, Joni Mitchell, Alicia Keys and many others, spinning a unique sound coming from a deep place of love and pain, resilience and gratitude.

Before picking up the harp in college,
Veronica spear headed a world beat band, AshaNan, in which she played the parts
of songwriter, singer, saxophonist, and percussionist. They made a record and received radio play on college and independent radio stations nationally, playing at such venues as the Bethlehem Musik Fest and The Falcon Ridge Folk Festival.

She
has written music for plays and puppet shows, and is working on her debut solo
album of original songs. She has created a voice that walks the line between dramatic and relaxed, vulnerable and strong, light and dark, fast and funky and slow and sultry. People like it and like to listen.

She is in demand as a soloist for
private events and plays regularly for children at local schools.
