ASCAP's Latin department signed a young woman who is an unstoppable whirlwind full of energy, ferociously ambitious and a great fighter, who is not afraid of challenges. Her name is Veronica Romeo. She appeared on a TV show similar to American Idol in her native country of Spain. "Don’t Look Away," Veronica's new song, is a revelation, a song with true depth and insight. Born July 18, 1978 in Elche, a city located in Alicante, Spain.
This is Veronica Romeo: an unshakeable, unstoppable whirlwind full of energy, dreams, joy and ambition. She is a great fighter, who is not afraid of challenges. This talented girl is guided by heart and by keeping both feet on the ground.
This singer/songwriter/actress is renowned for her special talent and feeling, as well as, for her striking and radiant beauty. She is not the kind of girl who rest on her laurels. She appeared on a TV show in 2001, since then she is considered one of the sexiest singers.
To Veronica, the relationship with her fans is tremendously important: “They keep me going. They inspire me. I do all I can to keep in touch with fans who support my music, whether it be via my shows or through the Internet. The energy I get from them is extraordinary.”
Her first album entitled “la fuerza del sol” was released in the year 2002, it sold 100.000 units. Two years after, she released her second album under the name of “lluvia”, it sold 50.000 units.
During the last three years, Veronica has grown up a lot. Two years ago, she went to London, there she studied drama and took dancing lessons. Back in Spain, she decided to create her own record label, which is called VK48Music. Her third album, “Serotonina”, a hormone that causes feelings of happiness, is in stores. It is also available in itunes. It was written in London, produced in Alicante and was mastered in Los Angeles.
“Serotonina” is a very special album to Veronica. She produced all the songs, wrote all the lyrics and made most of the music. She was deeply involved in every single aspect of this album, from singing all of her backing vocals to overseeing the treatment of the instruments, as well as their recording until the final mix.
It doesn't matter where she has been, who she has performed to or which awards she has received – Veronica is still “Veronica.
