Veronica's Assassin formed in 2006 with our first gig being at Mojos in May 2006. We have gigged regularly but sparingly since then, with a few gigs each year. We have played at all the venues that take original music including the now departed Hyde Park. We also played at Breakers and The Rock when both of them were still going. The Swan Basement and Railway Hotel have been our mainstay, along with shared gigs at Mojos.
We are a band of 'mature' people who rehearse pretty much each Thursday and have done so for nearly 6 years. We write regularly and with a few line-up changes, incorporate freshness into our sound. We are currently working on our third CD.
New material is never a problem as we all write together and separately and we are in the fortunate or unfortunate position of having much more original material than we can ever rehearse or perform. As we continually move on, some old faves have even had to be retired so we can concentrate on our new stuff.
