T5E- "First Strike"
T5E- "The Instructions"
Tree City- The TreE.P. (2007)

It all started back in 2000. I was exposed to the magic of hip-hop production at the age of 11 by my godbrother, and became obsessed with it. Previously, the only group that I had much knowledge of at the time was the Wu-Tang Clan, so as I began to understand more of what it meant to be a hip-hop "Artist", I took on a style on production that was heavily influenced by The RZA's grimy esoteric method of production. Soon after that, I began writing lyrics (which were also Wu-esque at the time) and trying to create my own style by broadening my listening tastes with legends such as: Rakim, KRS-ONE, MF DOOM, Jedi Mind Tricks, DJ Premier, Madlib, Prince Paul, etc. etc. A HUGE part of my skill comes from listening to every piece of Jazz, Soul, and Blues music i can get my hands on. It's not so much because of the sampling opportunities the genre's provide, but rather because many of the tracks allow my mind to drift off into deep thought (because of the ambience, most likely).
I actually got SERIOUS about hip-hop when I started a group with 2 of my friends from my High School Gym class who were also into hip-hop. In early 2004, we formed into the group "T5E" which stood for "Tha 5th Element" and laid waste to much of our local peer's attempts to mimic their slave-rap radio idols with what we dubbed as REAL hip-hop. About a 1.5 years (and 2 albums later), T5E transformed into the 9-member supergroup "Tree City". Through the years, I've remained the top producer for Tree City, and also one of the most consistent independant producers in the midwest. Im only getting started though....
