"TURN YOUR BRAIN OFF TO THE SPACEY LOUDNESS OF VERSES NARROW'S NEW EP"

Verses Narrow make the perfect music to shut your brain off to. With the amps turned all the way up and the bass at a constant floor-rattling rumble, you can close your eyes, nod your head, and just let your mind drift off into their infinite abyss of loudness. The Brooklyn band combine the intense drone pop of Torche with the spaced out sound of a Jupiter-era Cave In. Verses Narrow seem to have gotten even tighter with the addition of drummer Matt Krupanski (formerly of Boy Sets Fire) and now, on their new EP, Loom, they’d like to show off just how tight that is.

Listen to “Passive” off of Loom, shut your brain down, and space the fuck out. - Noisey

"Victor Villarreal on tour, playing NYC w/ Verses Narrow, who are streaming a new EP (listen)"

Brooklyn's Verses Narrow, who now count former BoySetsFire drummer Mat Krupanski as a member, are releasing their new Loom EP soon and a full stream premieres in this post. Loom is rooted in the style of the '90s post-hardcore bands who pre-dated and influenced that decade's alt-metal boom -- think stuff like Quicksand and Jawbox and you've got a pretty good idea. And if you like those bands, this Verses Narrow EP could be your alley too. Listen below. - Brooklyn Vegan

"PREMIERE: Verses Narrow — "The Drag""

Verses Narrow are gearing up to release their new EP, Loom, with the addition of former Boy Sets Fire drummer Mat Krupanski. The new energy shines in the post-punk trio's sound, and we're excited to premiere the six-song collection's closing track, "The Drag." Listen to the heavy tune above.

"'The Drag' was the last song we wrote and recorded for the record," the band explains. "Matt only played it twice before he layed down his track and we initially thought were going to leave the song off as it didn't fit into our sound at the time. Once we heard the beginning bass groove and added the vocals, we knew we had a closer for the record. Lyrically the song explores the struggle to stay sober during a trying time."

Keep your eyes peeled for Loom later this Spring on Exeter Records. - Pure Volume
