"AP&R August 2012 - Issue #290"

After singer Joey Sin quit his job on Wall Street to pursue music, he found four other guys who shared his passion. In 2012, the New York natives decided to leave their current band Fairview Avenue and form a pop-punk band geared more toward their specific goals. “The mere thought of being able to reach out to people on a personal level through music sounds amazing to all of us dudes in Farewell To Fairview,” says Sin. The guys are in the final leg of recording their first EP that you can check out this summer. - Alternative Press

Bio

With the aspiration to tour around the world and leave the avenue where it all started, the New York Pop Rock band was formed by guitarists Allen Jones, drummer Benny Montanarello, guitarist/vocals Cristhian Astorga, bassist/vocals Eddie Petershagen and front man Joey Sinishtay. This determined five started late 2012 in an upstate NY town called Poughkeepsie after front man Joey Sin decided to quit the rat race of Wall Street to reunite with new and longtime friends sharing the same ambition and goals towards music. The five’s Influences and previous band experiences range as far as Indie Folk Rock to Hardcore which is portrayed in their recent single release called “Mr. Shivers”. Their song "Sins" was featured in the August 2012 Issue of “Alternative Press Magazine” which states they rock like “The Wonder Years” and “The Menzingers.” In December 2013 they won the POP vs. NOT competition landing them a main stage spot at “A Very GK Holiday Fest” playing alongside “Matchbook Romance”, “Hit The Lights” and many others. In April 2013, the band self-released their first EP named “Counting Red Stars”. They have one thing in mind “Writing a full-length Album and “Playing as many live shows as possible."
