Five years down the cold and lonely road we find alt-country troubadours, Very Handsome Men, cross-state, cross-country and cross international waters plying their wares, learning from and paying respect to those that have come before them. Several tracks from 2005s live album Lively at the Yak, the debut studio album We are... and latest album 'Cold and Lonely Road' have made their way to airwaves on community radio stations and specialist blues & roots programs up and down the east coast of Australia, South and Western Australia and Northern Territory. Also playing on New Zealand radio and online stations such as TossM Music the home for Texas & Red Dirt music and independent musicians.
Listening to Lively at The Yak makes you wish you were there and goes well with whatever youre drinking (just as a live album should.). Acoustic duo Very Handsome Men display raw, emotive, rough-edged, Regular Joe heart and soul whilst blending the stylistic boundaries of country,folk,blues and rock.
