"They're Evening Stars, aka "Vespera""

"This relatively young band is evolving into a sensational hard-rock band. Coming from Connecticut at the ages of 18 and 19, Vespera has already gained a loyal fan-following. With a mixture of metal and modern rock, these guys are drawing attention fast." - Zack Hochmuth for Evolving Artist Entertainment News

Bio

Vespera has been performing together for over 7 years now (February 01). Since the band hit the scene and began playing shows on a regular basis, Vespera has gained a substantial amount of success with no label and almost no promotional help at all. After recording and producing a 6 track demo in the basement of drummer Jon Murphy and and guitarist Joe Probulis, Vespera was beginning to make a name for itself around the state. Vespera was selected out of 10 bands at a local showcase to perform at the highly acclaimed NEMO music festival in Boston in 2004 fresh out of high school. College radio caught on quick. Left With Nothing received regular airplay on UCONN radio 91.7 WHUS and even a number one hit on QU Radio 98.1 WQAQ. Even more recently, Vespera was the feature local band for one week on CT's only rock station 106.9 WCCC on the "New At 2 Homegrown Show." Vespera has shared the stage with numerous national acts including, Saliva, Chevelle, RA, Finger11, Thornley, Dope, Motograter, Sno Core Tour 04 (Strata, Finger11, Smile Empty Soul and Trapt), Sno Core Tour 05 (Strata, Future Leaders of the World, Helmet, Crossfade and Chevelle) and more. Vespera's live show is a show within itself. You can guarantee to see a crazy ass stage presence you don't see too often nowadays. Twins Charlie and Tommy highlight the performance as they unintentionally mirror each other jumping and spinning all over the stage as if it were choreographed, while Jon screams and beats the shit out of his drums. Mike's vocal melodies and lyrics will captivate you and will sure be stuck in your head, especially with Jon's amazing harmonies and screams. The best part of Vespera is the brotherhood the five-piece share. The guys were best friends before Vespera was created. As time passed the guys friendship turned into something special which you can see on stage and in the music. Vespera is one of the most genuine bands you will ever see. They all share the same passion for performing and music itself; more importantly - a love for one another. With youth at Vespera's' advantage, you can expect a shit load of success heading their way.
