A conduit for positive energy to forever flow freely is where the band name "Vessel" takes its origin. Forming in the Spring of 2005 in Louisville, Ky, this 7 member tour de force is heavily influenced by psychedelia and spirituality. Vessel compounds a vast variety of musical genres ranging from bluegrass, funk, soul, ragtime, rock, gypsy, folk, and experimental. A conglomerate of seasoned songwriters and players based out of Louisville, Ky, Vessel has been described by many as an all-star troupe and one of the best original bands in the Louisville region.

Vessel has entertained a multitude of major music festivals and clubs around the United States for the past 9 years. Such venues include WFPK Waterfront Wednesday Concert Series, Summer Camp Music Festival, The Werk Out, Terrapin Hill Harvest Fest, Canopy Club, and Headliner's Music Hall to name a few. The band has also shared the concert bill with many national acts such as Hoots and Hellmouth, Keller Williams, Larry Keel and Natural Bridge, the Del McCoury Band, Hot Buttered Rum, Railroad Earth, Moe, Umphrey's Mcgee, Lotus, Cornmeal, Parliment Funkadelic, the Flaming Lips, the Seven Walkers, and Micky Hart.

Vessel takes it's audience on an auditory and visual adventure by providing high energy psychedelic jams combined with lush harmonies and beautiful melodies that never fails to keep the crowd moving and the vibe flowing positively.

Vessel recently completed and released their first full-length self-titled double-disc debut album. After working with Butchertown Pub Studios (Louisville, KY) and Nix Mastering (Memphis, TN) Vessel is quick to already be preparing another full-length all original album. Stay tuned (thru any one/many of our media sources) for a video release this summer and a sneak peak at the new album. Recent Live shows can be streamed free by clicking on the 'Live Show' icon at
