Bio
Vince Greer is an up-and-coming Jazz Saxophonist born out ofHouston, Texas. He began playing the alto saxophone at age 12 and now plays both alto and tenor saxophones. He studied at Adelphi University and Skidmore University in New York and graduated from HSPVA in Houston, Texas. He has been actively playing with several famed artist and at renowned venuesaround the nation and beyond.
Vince is now working on his first solo project but can be found on several recordings including Live Out Loud Band’s “Organizing Chaos EP” and MusixBox Band’s “Funky Genius”. He has won several awards including the Conrad Johnson Award and was also a member of the All-State Jazz Band. He has also shared stages amongst big names such as Walter Smith III, Gerald Albright, Everette Harp, Solange Knowles, Mario DewerBarrett, Kim Burrell, Christian Scott, Robert Glasper, Kirk Whalum, Bobby Lyle, Conrad Johnson and many more.
Vince is one of the leading saxophonist under the age of 30 in the nation whose style is creative and intuitive. His sound is all encompassing of Jazz, Funk, Gospel, Soul, Rnb and more. Vince has a huge presence on both the Jazz and Gospel scenes of Houston and is constantly evolve as he transitions into the professional arena of saxophone. He continues to travel and capture hearts as plays to the soul of many with his enchanting saxophone styles.
