VIBEBYMELO, also known as Melo, is a Toronto-born music creative who recently finished studies in Ottawa for Music Performance but continuously learning through sound. Specializing in Funk, Hip-Hop, Blues and “Trap n Roll” he has crafted a movement through sound. 

His generation of family was the first to bloom as musicians and artists alike. Growing up in the pocket of Ajax, felt like a cloak, but in adventuring, observing and admiring Toronto, he would soon find his colour. With his wide spread family across the GTA he became very familiar with the York, Peel, and Durham Region. Through growing up next to such a diverse cityscape, he was taught a lot about his Jamaican and Guyanese heritage. 

The last few years spent in Ottawa have allowed Melo to mould his sound, refine his flow, and perfect his style blending the perfect amount of old school and new wave. Studying at Carleton University has allowed Melo to make tons of music connections as well as earning his Bachelor’s of Music with a Minor in Business. Through uncovering his potential he has be able to draw on inspiration from the likes of Gary Clarke Jr, James Brown and B.B. King to Lauryn Hill, Method Man and Andre 3000. 

At the end of the summer, he’ll official be back in The 6ix, not just with a degree and a sound, but with a vengeance.
