When Danish singer, composer and laptop artist Vibeke Falden in February this year was chosen as support act - among forty Scandinavian applicants - for the internationally acclaimed 2010 Grammy winner, UK artist Imogen Heap, it was the culmination of a year of intense electronic music study, songwriting and studio/field recording, working on the creation of original soundscapes around her melodies and small prose poems.

Vibeke Falden, whose main musical inspiration has been the independent and innovative Imogen Heap, was personally introduced on stage by the artist who declared her enthusiasm for Falden singing in her native language.

In May 2010 Vibeke Falden, selected by Roar Amundsen from ROSA (The Danish Rock Council) as a participant in "Nordic Cowriters 2010" - a collaboration between Scandinavian and Austin based songwriters - performed at the Spot Festival in Aarhus, Denmark, "the most important upcoming festival in Scandinavia" (Jim Carroll, The Irish Times).

After the concert, which included David Fricke from the Rolling Stone (US) among the audience,Vibeke Faldens performance was described as creating "..evocative imagery and dreamy melody" (M.Moser/Austin Chronicle) and as a result of the Nordic Cowriter workshop, Vibeke Falden has been invited to a two week stay in Austin, TX, and will play showcases in December (tba).

Vibeke Faldens live performance combines various acoustic and electronic instruments, such as the recorder, glockenspiel and microkorg with on stage looping.

Vibeke Falden is currently finishing recordings for her debut album, "BLÅ/Sisyfos" ("BLUE/Sisyphus") which will be released in the fall of 2010 and early spring 2011.

American album release: NY, 25th of November 2010
European album release: 5th of Feb. 2011

After the full release of "BLÅ/Sisyfos", Vibeke Falden will be touring Europe in 2011.
