Vibration 9 is a mixture of spiritually elevating lyrics with emotionally driven rock melodies, with a touch of flute and piano...

Biography

In a world where rock n' roll riffs all seem the same, Vibration 9 stands out with its melodious appeal, given by the flute, the piano and the vocal harmonies. Their influences and their sound are vast, finally letting you exclaim: "No two songs are the same". While the guitarist, Jean-Pierre Gauthier reminds us of Jimmy Page with his lengthy and melodic solos, the singer, Stephan Dastous, takes you on a spiritual journey, inviting you to “jump into the unknown”, as one of their best songs says. Vibration 9 is essentially a family story: after months of writing the first songs, Stephan met with his cousin Jean-Pierre and the two immediately started intertwining the melodies and the words together. Soon enough, the duet was joined by Stephan’s sister, Mary-Helen, on vocals and flute. Then came in a best friend, Hugo Lefebvre on bass, and in 2003, Bruno Robitaille completed the circle on drums.

The guys and the girl have a clear message for the world: “The Universe is within Ourselves”, and they sure project it out loud with their voices and their hearts!

The Portal

Written By: Words by Stephane Dastous, music by Stephane Dastous and Jean-Pierre Gauthier

The Portal

As I meet the other me
Alone in my room on the floor
Lying naked secretly
I kiss and open up the portal...

And I fly inside of me
Dressed as the wind, the Goddess comes
On the fields of destiny
She grabs me and she lays me down
She grabs me and she lays me down
She lays me down!

As I put my destiny
Into the hands of the almighty
Reading the lines she wrote for me
I watch them weaving into songs

And the plan takes place for me
I come to find what my hands wrote
An epistle from me to me
A cellular memory code
A cellular memory code...
My memory code!

Inside the Temple, I’m waiting for You
Bring my Soul down to my Spine...
Spin!!! Until the Serpent reveals the Sacred
Turning our Bodies into Light

The portal moves in you...
The portal swallows you...
The portal moves in you...
The portal swallows you...

Then you meet your destiny!
Then you meet your destiny!
Then you meet your destiny!
Then you meet your destiny!

Inside the Temple, I’m waiting for you
Bring my Soul down to my Spine...
Spin! Until the Serpent reveals the Sacred
Turning our Bodies into Light

I like you naked

Written By: Stephan Dastous

I like you naked

You are coming from outer space
Oh I recognize your face
You’re a sister, a brother
And we have the same mother

You look like an angel
You are really sensational
You’re as pure as a diamond
We have many things in common

One simple look from you
Shakes and removes
Unnecessary clothing
Hiding the real thing

I like you naked, I wanna touch you
Play with you like a kid
I wanna swim through you

Hold on tight ‘cause I wanna rock you
Dance with you all night
I wanna melt with you

Despite the changing names
Oh we are all the same
Each a piece of one puzzle
Different colors and roles

You’re the rain, you’re the sun
In this game you’re the one
Giving life its color
You are a light shower

I need a picture please
Smile and say cheese
Take a pose, I dare you to
Feel the light inside you

I like you naked, I wanna touch you
Play with you like a kid
I wanna swim through you

Hold on tight ‘cause I wanna rock you
Dance with you all night
I wanna melt with you

You’re a star, you’re a sunshine
You’re light is seen by the blind
You’re a pearl, you’re a treasure
You’re a world to discover

Be transparent as a crystal
Be honest and simple
In your heart stay tuned
There’s a new song coming soon

Come on folks let’s get closer
And prepare for the new comer
Soon our souls will give birth
To heaven on earth

I like you naked, I wanna touch you
Play with you like a kid
I wanna swim through you

Hold on tight ‘cause I wanna rock you
Dance with you all night
I wanna melt with you
