"Vice On Victory To Release “The World on a Tightrope” October 23"

"...“The World on a Tightrope” is a pleasant surprise. While the band is technically just another punk rock band with an energetic vibe, they have the talented musicianship that makes the songs easy to listen to. And the fact that they did this all themselves makes the album that much more…victorious." - TRUTH OR SARAH

"Vice On Victory Reveals New Album Cover..."

Columbus, Ohio’s female-fronted rockers Vice On Victory are set to release their new album The World On A Tightrope later this year. The new record was recorded, mixed, and mastered by band member Trevor Boggs. The band has recently revealed the album cover, which is attached. The band will be touring in early August and plans to continue to hit the road constantly throughout the rest of the year.
Vice On Victory has gone the DIY route with this release and they commented on the decision and its affects by saying, “The decision to go DIY was made after parting ways with Standby Records, which was a mutual decision between us and the label for the time being. Going DIY has had its ups and downs. It gave us control over the direction of the band; however, the lack of financial backing has definitely been a hardship for us.” - Ken

"Vice On Victory - Glitter & Gold (Review)"

May I present to you, hailing from Columbus, Ohio, yet another do-it-yourself success story. Vice On Victory, with no label support, took it upon themselves to tour the US and along the way, built a large and dedicated fan base just by word of mouth. It wasn’t long before they caught the attention of Standby Records owner Neil Sheehan, who had the following to say about the band.
“It is not often you run across a truly talented band where all the players are experts at their craft, when I heard Vice On Victory I immediately hit them up. This band has it all the way, from look, to sound, to their talent. I can’t wait for the world to hear these tunes.”
He couldn’t have been more spot on. This album, simply put, is a gem. From the soaring melodies to the oh-so-catchy lyrics, Glitter & Gold aims to please. The constant tempo changes are a nice touch, keeping the songs fresh, avoiding the “heard-it-all-before” syndrome similar bands fall victim to. Ranging from fast paced sing-alongs (”Sidelines”) to emotional ballads (”Life Worth Living”), this album is a mixed bag of goodies. One would compare vocals to that of Hey Monday, with more spunk.
Vice On Victory is a breath of fresh fair, and just what the scene needed. So many times hard working bands have been passed up in favor of “gimmick” bands, it’s nice to see a label rewarding an artist who has worked so hard to get to this point. So if you’re looking for a truly genuine band, be sure to check out Vice On Victory, and be sure to pick up their debut album Glitter & Gold out March 31st on Standby Records! - Shawn Flanagan

Bio

Vice on Victory, a fun energetic rock band from Columbus, Ohio, have been hard at work since 2008 perfecting their sound while growing a fan base that stretches all across the land.

With a "do-it yourself" attitude, the band took it upon themselves within their first year as a band to tour the U.S. with no support from a label.

With the growing success of social networks such as MySpace along with their own hard work, the band was able to sign a record contract with Standby Records before the end of 2008.

Now with label support, the band was able to release their debut full length album, "Glitter & Gold," an 11-track album full of catchy lyrics and melodies in the Spring of 2009.

Vice On Victory spent the remaining of 2009 touring in support of the newly released record. Along with a small run with the Vans Warped tour in 2010., Vice On Victory continued to maintain numerous shows a month, continuing to push their music and grow their fans base more and more.

Through various hardships and battles, the band mutually parted ways with Standby records in late 2010 has once again returned to an unsigned status, but not losing hope on the bright future ahead.

Being completely D.I.Y. the band has continued to tour the US extensively, while also releasing their second full length album, "The World On A Tightrope", in the fall off 2012.

The band is currently still touring while also working on their third full length album, expected to be independently released late 2013.
