Bio

A year after their formation, and fresh off their tour of Europe, Vice Stevens is taking to the streets in your city, with all the zest and unhinged potential energy of a diesel freight train. Fueled by their unique brand of New York indie-- rocking stylings of pop, punk, reggae and new wave, they have just completed their series of singles and are looking to spread this new sound from coast to coast-- from the mountains to the country side.

Vice Stevens is constantly pushing the limits and concepts of musical marketing and promotion utilizing a self-contained design branding and street team approach. Sensing the changing landscape of the music industry, Vice has decided to release their music single-by-single shying away from textbook album generation. This gives bits and morsels of their sound which are echoed through intense and one of a kind live performances.

With influences and inspirations running the gamut from Orange County, CA’s Sublime to The Police, Rancid, Radiohead, TV on the Radio, The Beatles and Red Hot Chili Peppers there is a lot to work from and songwriting seems to rise to these standards. Vice Stevens is Andrew Tepper (vocals), Jon Klekman (bass/vocals), Bennett Kolasinski (guitars, synth, vocals) and Carvel Jones (drums, percussion). They formed in late 2005 releasing their first single in early 2006, to much success and wide circulation on the Internet. “Such a Fool” is a reggae punk influenced anthem which talks about rebellion and love.

This year Vice has made visits to Binghamton University and played various venues throughout New York City. Using a multi pronged approach: radio interview and street promotion have always been top priority for Vice Stevens.

Vice Stevens capped off the end of 2006 with a visit to Europe. Taking their brand of music, crowd interaction and stage passion to Europe was the perfect way to end a successful year of creation and hard work. Playing dates in three cities and two countries to eager crowds: UK--London and Manchester, and Amsterdam, Netherlands. Vice Stevens came home with much support and many fans new and old.

Looking forward to 2008 they are eager to hit the road with continually created music performed at colleges, universities, industry showcases and city venues to promote their singles which feature Andrew Tepper’s searing vocals and the power of danceable guitar and bass hooks. Their current single “Wolves & Bears” currently on myspace.com and digitally through various mp3 partner sites (Itunes, Amazon and Amie Street) is an infectious power punk and dub reggae influenced odyssey. Stay tuned for their hard driving next single "Get You That Way”, to be released on iTunes in June ‘08.

Vice Stevens is at the beginning of an amazing journey and they are not afraid to hit the ground running and push the music industry in a new direction. Come along for the ride.
