Beautiful Goodbyes

Written By: Vicky Sjohall

Do you sleep like a baby in your bed?
When you look in the mirror do you see a crown on your head?
Well I’ve had some victory of my own
I think it’s better off that you’re the last to know

Cause nothing is terrifying
Like changing everything I know
But nothing is more inviting
Like knowing when it’s time to go
I’ll take my time to make it through this line
There are no beautiful goodbyes

I still walk the bridges that you burned
Just like a fool I played in your fire and I got hurt
I still hear the stories at the parties and the shows
They think they know it all
But they don’t I got all that I need
I rise and fall I get up and stand tall

Cause nothing is terrifying
Like changing everything I know
But nothing is more inviting
Like knowing when it’s time to go
I’ll take my time to make it through this line
There are no beautiful goodbyes

Never Alone

Written By: Vicky Sjohall

So you try you give it up the best that you can like stories on the television
So you say you’re going to another place
somewhere that I can’t find you if I want to
I can’t follow but I can take you away

Out of the driving of the rain
Out of the circus of your mind
Out of the fear that you’re walking on your own
You never have to be alone

So you fly a broken little body and mind a bird with so much to carry
You decided long before today that your long tomorrows could be
Another big mistake
I can’t change it, but I can take you away

Out of the driving of the rain
Out of the circus of your mind
Out of the fear that you’re walking on your own
You never have to be alone

Everytime I pull you closer
Life becomes a roller coaster
Up and down it spins and bends
And you and I we keep pretending
We are like a broken puzzle
In the end we love eachother
Some things I won’t understand
But everyday I can be right beside you

Out of the driving of the rain
Out of the circus of your mind
Out of the fear that you’re walking on your own
You never have to be alone

This Love

Written By: Vicky Sjohall

Tread lightly on this shaky ground
There’s no silence when it’s coming down
It’s been days since we just looked around
Beyond the rain

Trouble comes, trouble goes
The trouble is we’ve got no place to go
There’s no peace inside this troubled mind
When you’re not alright

Cause I’m not afraid of getting old
I’m not afraid of the things I’ve been told
I’m not scared to fight to win
I just need to know you still believe in
This love

We talk until the sky turns red
Then we close our eyes and go to bed
Cause the world is on fire
And nobody’s listening
It’s hard to keep moving when so much is missing

I’m not afraid of getting old
I’m not afraid of the things I’ve been told
I’m not scared to fight to win
I just need to know you still believe in
This love

If you get lost I’ll bring a light and get you home
If you get scared I’ll stay beside you and hold you close
Everything’s different when it’s quiet and it’s just you and me
There’s always a sunrise after a cold night

Cause I’m not afraid of getting old
I’m not afraid of the things I’ve been told
I’m not scared to fight to win
I just need to know you still believe in
This love
