If you're expecting a bio that's filled with extreme name-dropping and exaggerated stories of fame, you won't find it here.

However, over the years, Seattle native, Vic Neil, is no stranger to sharing the stage with legendary greats. Grateful to artists; Joe Ely, Robyn Hitchcock, Alejandro Escovedo and Hugh Cornwell for their influence.

One night while standing in line to see Jay Leno, Vic bumped into music buddies Keith Meicho and Jim Santoro who just split from the band, Mondo Vito. After the show, the three of them met with Jay, who convinced them to put a band together and call it something big. That became the birth of Tall Tales.
 
After polishing their act and taking it out on the road, they were riding high in the Econoline with the release of the controversial song, Animal Man.
 
One night while performing at Seattle’s Hall of Fame, Vic broke a guitar string and instantly grabbed a blender from the bar and preceded with a “blender solo,” while the band played on. An instant success that stayed with the show.

Eventually, the Hamilton Beach burned out to unfold new tales, this time in Tucson. Paying their dues by polishing the rhythm sections of various one-hit wonders bassist Jack Fandray and drummer Jon Kruspe form with Vic and Rand Rogers under the name Snake Oil.

The first CD project, “A Salute to the American Songwriter.” Featured songs written by Steve Earle, Dave Alvin, John Hiatt, Delbert McClinton and others. Showcasing guitarist, Neil McCallion.

Later, “A Box of Bones” is released under the name, Coins of Catalina " featuring songs Muddy Water and Screwed up Town.
