"Vic Swaz The Arsonist Is Burning Up Competition On the Rize"

Q. How did it all begin for you?
A. It all began 4 me a long time ago when I was like 8 or 9 and I would listen to my brother’s tapes. The connection was instant. I probably wrote my first rap in like 5th grade, but I didn’t really start taking it seriously until like 2004. That’s when I noticed I had a real gift.

Q. What was the first rap song you ever heard and where were you?
A. Well, I was raised up off hip-hop. I was listening to music mad early but the first song I really understood, my first favorite song was probably “Juicy” by Biggie Smalls. I was at the basketball court when I first heard it. Classic.

Q. What is your favorite rap group?
A. Right now, “The Constellation” I love my team.

Q. What was your first song that you dropped?
A. A song called “Different Perspective” I still rock with it today

Q. What were you before a full fledged mc?
A. A student

Q. In my days, Hip Hop was the streets news channel. It was informative. These days, people rap about nonsense because it sells and passifys. What motivated or prompted you to be a political MC?
A. I just speak about things I experience, the good, the bad, whatever. When I decided to become a MC, I gave myself to the people. I speak for those without a voice.

Q. Who inspired you and pushed you to become an artist?
A. The people man, it’s the love they always showed our music. From early when it was just my friends and family, to when we started to go out and do shows all over the south, up north, they always showed us love no matter the circumstances

Q. How many songs do you have completed?
A. Close to 50 completed

Q. What is your real name ?
A. Victor Manley

Q. Where are you from?
A. North Carolina

Q. Who would you like to work with?
A. Oh man, Cee Lo Green

Q. Why do you think people prefer Dumbed Down Music? Is it because it’s catchy, not a lot of thinking involved, I mean, what is the attraction to non thought provoking music?
A. I’m not sure, I figure it’s all good. I believe people still enjoy thought provoking music, but there’s two sides to everything. Too much of anything is never good, so you need a lighter side to balance it out. The problem is, artist are afraid to be themselves and the music reflects that

Q. What would you tell youngsters trying to break into the business?
A. I’d tell’em to understand this is a lifestyle, not a hobby

Q. What was your greatest accomplishment?
A. I don’t think it’s happened yet. I see great things to come, Lord willing, I’m excited about what the future holds for us. There’s no place to go, but up!!

Q. Do you think that music with a meaning will come back or are we headed to what I call the Battle Star Galactica days where all you have is a beat and no lyrics? At this rate, the lyrics have less and less value, so you figure, why have lyrics.
A. It has no choice, Im a lyricist first and foremost so you can always expect me to come with something witty and thought provoking every time I’m on and Team Flammable continues to produce those banger’s, its a Done Deal!!

Q. If you had one wish, for anything at all in the world, What would you ask for?
A. A Chance. I’ll take it from there

Q. Any links, media players any song we can highlight right now for you? Any shout outs to anyone?
A. Shout out to The Whole Constellation Team and My manager Charai’ Boisselle from All Eyes Management
