Victoria Persico '11 recently enjoyed watching three of her original songs on the premiere of the new reality show "Kourtney and Kim Take Miami" on the E-Network. This is but a small representation of the successes Persico has earned in the music industry since graduating from Manhattanville College.
"When I graduated, I promised myself that I would be dedicated to writing and recording as much music as possible to truly give this a shot," the Music Management major said.
Persico's dedication has led her to a myriad of accomplishments. She has a commercially released single featuring Nick Brown of MTV Real World, performs all over the country as a singer/songwriter, owns her own music publishing company "Victoria Persico Music," and recently signed licensing deals for her compositions to be broadcasted on reality shows in the coming year. She also has affiliations with the performing rights organization SESAC, which is associated with great musician such as Bob Dylan and Neil Diamond.
She recently signed two music-licensing deals with Viacom and Bunim Murray for her songs to be aired on upcoming reality shows in 2013. The list of her accomplishments goes on.
Persico was an active student while at Manhattanville and completed various internships, one of which was with SESAC, the organization that first signed her as a songwriter affiliate. She credits her time at Manhattanville for enhancing her musical talents and aiding in her success.
"Every single person in the music department was a huge influence and help to me," said Persico. "I feel so honored to have been able to learn from all of them, and to gain the experience and knowledge that I now utilize today as I pursue my career."
She will soon be working on her first solo album and hopes to release her first single within the next few months.
"My goal is to one day get signed by a label and hopefully have not only my own songs hit the airwaves, but also the songs I write for other artists as well," Persico said. - Manhattanville College
YONKERS - A Manhattanville College graduate is grabbing national attention by singing her way across America.
Over the past year, 23-year-old Victoria Persico has performed on stages coast to coast, and accolades are pouring in.
Her music is also now being played on MTV and other major networks.

"I know what I'm doing is very hard but when you want something when you have a dream, you can't stop fighting you have to go out there and do it," says the Yonkers native.

Victoria Persico is a singer & songwriter from Westchester, New
York. Although she works primarily in the pop, dance & r&b
genres, she can sing and write in many other areas. Victoria's first
love has always been music. Singing since the age of three, she has
recorded throughout the Tri-State area and worked with many different
producers. Victoria's first debut single titled "Gettin Dirty" which
features MTV's Nick Brown was a huge success that it eventually lead to a
collaborative project with Brown and recording artist I-Naz entitled
"#Relentless: Party Starter Album", featuring MTV’s Jersey Shore cast
member DJ Pauly D. The song "Gettin Dirty" received many positive
reviews within the last year, from airing on Orlando’s Power 95.3, the
remix was even featured on mtvU and was nominated for “Best Freshman
Video” of the week. After the release and success of the Party Anthem
album, Victoria has performed in a variety of different places from
coast to coast. She has performed at different venues, from Las Vegas to
South Padre Texas, and many famous venues in NYC such as Highline
Ballroom (where the album release party was), Sullivan Hall, TenJune,
Amnesia, and also venues throughout long island such as Bridgeview,
Aura, Industry, Studio 11, Switch, and more.
With a degree in Music Management from Manhattanville College,
Victoria continued to write throughout her college career while
interning at different record labels and PRO’s such as EMI & SESAC.
During that time Victoria got signed with the Performing Rights
Organization "SESAC" as a songwriter affiliate. She has also launched
her own Music Publishing Company "Victoria Persico Music" and since then
has devoted all of her time to writing and recording new music to
pursue her dream as a recording artist & writer. She recently signed
two music licensing deals with Viacom and Bunim Murray for her songs to
be aired on upcoming reality shows in 2013. Her songs “Getting Dirty”
"Apology" & "The Last Night" were aired on E's hit series "Kourtney
& Kim Take Miami", VH1's "T.I. & Tiny" as well Oxygen networks
hit series “Love Games” & "Bad Girls Club". With superb songwriting
skills and a voice that sets her apart, Victoria Persico is poised to
explode onto the broader music scene, its just the beginning for her!
