Bio

Singer/songwriter, producer VictoRia Blue, like some of the world's most influential musicians and entertainers of our time, reps the nation's capital. Although born in Florida, VictoRia Blue states that she "experienced life, freedom, peace of mind and her first love, (music) in D.C. “Music is my heart." And if home is where the heart is, her's is in Southeast Washington. Growing up in a family of musicians created the perfect environment for her to experiment and explore her love affair with music. There were no walls or boundaries to speak of. From Blues to Country, Jazz to Rock, Gospel to Funk and Soul to Pop, VictoRia Blue heard it all; but more importantly, she felt it all. She embraced music and immersed herself in every note, every tone and every beat...she understood from a very young age that "music can not be placed in a box. No matter how pretty the paper or how fluffy the bow." VictoRia Blue has always danced to the beat of her own drum, never conforming to what was in or hot at the moment. "I've never wanted to be like anyone else. I've always admired other vocalists and musicians. Growing up I definitely admired the gifts and talents that other people posses...but I’ve never wanted to be like anyone else. I've always been cool with who I am. That's not to say that growing up I didn't wonder why I was considerably different than most of my counterparts...but I never tried to change and fit into what was never meant for me and that's just how I am. I guess that's why I approach music the way I do. I don't think I’m here to save music...I’m just doing me and that's what makes me happy." VictoRia Blue now resides in Atlanta, GA and has had the opportunity to collaborate with some of the industry's most talented individuals.
As the lead singer for local bands and solo artist using her own band, VictoRia Blue has performed at local festivals and summer concerts like Georgia Avenue Day, Auburnfest and Wednesday Windown at Olympic Park in Atlanta as well as national events ; For Sisters Only and The National Black Arts Festival. She has headlined an international tour, recorded with and shared the stage with several world-renowned artists and musicians alike (George Clinton, Zapp, Everette Harp, Sugar Bear of EU, Edwin McCain just to name a few). While continuing to free-lance, she has placed a more concentrated focus on her growth and development as a solo artist, writer and producer. VictoRia Blue has penned hundreds of original songs and is currently in the process of recording a full-length album that fuses every aspect of who she has become as a woman and musician. "I’m proud of what's being created. I'm taking my time with it because I want it to be right. I want my lyrics and music to be so vivid, you could paint a picture in your mind as you listen. I feel like it's my responsibility to keep growing and keep pushing and striving to find those notes between the cracks because, I can't let music down." VictoRia Blue says that she will never allow her passion for music to be compromised or tainted; the desire will eternally exist, because she longs for it day in and day out. "Music is my lover. He understands me and I understand him. I've never used or abused him and he's never taken advantage of me. I'll keep trying to do right by him and make him happy because music has never failed me."
