Victoria D

Victoria D came from a musical and artistic family, and even though she had always been a huge fan of music, she didn't seriously begin her musical focus until her early 20's when she bought her first bass guitar. In 1992 she joined a band as their lead singer and even though there was some great collaborations, the project never left its early stages. Discouraged, she continued on her way, putting her dream on the back burner but always keeping her eyes open for new projects. Years went by and although there were some doors that opened, nothing ever really fit just right. So she just continued to improve herself the best she could in hopes to be prepared for when the right project came along.

After moving to NY in 1996, she was lucky enough to become friends with Dan Montez, the General Director of the Taconic Opera, a brand new professional opera company, and decided to join the chorus. Under the direction of Mr. Montez, Victoria's voice began to improve by leaps and bounds and after 8 years with the company, the call to return to her musical roots was deafening and her appearances with the opera went from 3 shows a year down to 1 or 2. Although she still sings with the company periodically, her heart has come home to rock and her soul is reaping the rewards.
