Bio

Victrola formed in Fall of 2011 then quick began performing live music for large crowds. The bands music appeals to all ages by mixing classic, edgy, and modern sounds of Alternative Rock, Pop-Rock, Bluesy rock, Hip Hop, Pop, R & B and Soul all into one. Victrola stands apart from other bands out there because Taviona being a female singer and with the guys, play a large spectrum of music from Alternative to Hip Hop. Their ability to take timeless music and make it current to their own sound sets the bar. Victrola is such an original and unique breath of freshness. Bass player (Danny Hassel) is also an actor and has many TV and film credits to his name(Nightmare on Elm ST. 4 & 5 for you horror fans) He and singer (Taviona Amos) formed Victrola and the two added Josh Ybarra and Kendrick Hall (Taviona's brother) Tay and Danny are a couple so it made a family band with Josh our long lost brother haha. We can play rock and roll, blues,R&B and our own stuff which is a mix of all of them. We are influenced by Hendrix, Zepplin,Sabbath, Stones and Etta James, Lauren Hill,Indie Arie and anyone who can play great and or live music pretty much.

Band line up

Taviona Monae Singer/Songwriter
Danny Hassel --Bass
Josh Ybarra---Guitar
Kendrick Hall---Drums

Taviona grew up singing in the church, middle school and College choir. She got her singing voice from her grandmother and at a young age fell in love with the southern styles of music. Her and her brother Kendrick (the family duo) would perform together for their church as kids. Now as adults they have refined their sound and bring great chemistry to their band. Taviona hooks you in with not only her beauty but her incredible soulfully edgy voice and giving Victrola the Band a sound that is truly original. Her vocals have such an emotional realness and is very easy to listen to. Her presence and dance moves are vibrant and her look is sensual-classy-chic which makes this band worth its while.

Danny Hassel -Bass player/ Acoustic guitar/ Songwriter

Danny started his entertainment journey acting but has always had a passion for music. He took acoustic guitar at Santa Monica College, Bass guitar at SCCC and studied piano at SSCC. He played bass for a garage band with Emile Mcowen (Rising Roots) Drums, Mike Ball (Suicidal Tendencies) Guitar in Los Angeles. Later moving to Seattle and meeting Taviona and forming Victrola.

Kendrick Hall -Drums/ Songwriter

Kendrick lays down amazing drum fills never missing a beat. When he was younger played drums as his sister Taviona would sing solos with the church choir and played for his school marching band.

Josh Ybarra -Lead guitar/Songwriter

Recently adding Josh rips with leads beyond his years.
Josh played guitar very young and around 16 years old he got a full ride musical scholarship to one of the best private boarding schools in the country. While in school, He spent about 4 months going to the recording studio for 6 hours a day recording him and others. The group he was in at that time broke up just before touring. He decided Utah didnt have what he was looking for musically so he moved to Washington and thats when Victrola the band found him.
