At the age of 11, Wilson, NC native Vic Vega encountered a group of his peers rapping on the
bleachers between classes. An avid Hip Hop listener,This encounter sparked a fire that would ignite his
transition from listener to lyricist. Nervous, he joined the next day's cipher and was praised for his
new found ability. This began a lifelong journey as an MC. He ravaged local street battles, and made
club appearances at venues he wasn't even old enough to enter.

Early in his career he formed a group with his peers Jay Vegas, Arnaud
Woods, and the late Sick L , called Young Bucks. Their group's notoriety
spread and helped spawn a movement with other local artists that provided
him a bigger forum. This also helped to forge valuable relationships with now proven artists
such as K-Hill, and the Justus League. Vic Vega's contribution to fellow
Wilson artist K-Hill's Project "The Banquet Vol. 1" was the first major album he was
included in, and most critically acclaimed at that time. Vega began doing
shows in multiple venues up and down the east coast, features on various mix tapes
and released his own mix tape in 2008 entitled the "Glo Vol 1".

Growing up in Wilson, it was frowned upon to embrace rock or anything that
wasn't on the radio, but Vega's boldness and open-mindedness is what molded
him into the composer he is today. The late 80's and early 90's exposed him
to hip hop, rock and R&B courtesy of MTV, Video Soul, and Rap City. Rap
captured his heart and began a love dat would prove to be timeless.
ATCQ, Nirvana, The Beatles, Nas, Sade, New Edition, and Ice Cube, are just a
few examples of his eclectic taste. This plethora of musicians and composers
influences is reflected in his latest release, "Die'n 2 Live: The Curious Case of Vic Vega".

Determined to get the exposure he deserves, Vic Vega is currently releasing
his 2010 offering, Die'n 2 Live "The Curious Case of Vic Vega
