We were gifted the honor of providing a music review for a local band by the name of Villa Avenue. They forwarded a demo submission to our e-mail. This is why I love my job! E-mailed music submissions capture the essence of our goal as a company & we appreciate each one! Okay. Enough with all of the sentimentals.

“Find My Way” is a guitar driven tune with those sweet, sweet strings front & center. The lead singer’s vocals are as smooth as warm syrup drizzled over flapjacks. All this talk about sweets & syrup & I’ve made myself hungry. Seriously, the vocals blanket the song perfectly rather than overpowering it. There is a guitar solo with drums at bridge, which will place you behind the wheel of your favorite automobile, driving cross country.

Soundscapes. Cosmic synths. Guitar. Piano. These elements alone are just mere elements. BUT when you blend them, & blend them well, it’s a definite recipe for one bad ass track! Villa Avenue blended the ingredients perfectly on the ballad “Clash”. The song evokes emotion. One of which you feel the pressure of the world falling on you because the one that you want in your life is just not there. I would like to hear this one performed live!
