Feeling a bit camera shy

Eight Years ago a group of musicians got together to jam. This trio is now Villains of the 1990's. The Band consists of Bassist Dwayne Flett, Guitarist Cody Mckay, and Drummer Lyndon Dow.

Long time friends, after school we would jam out in Cody's parents garage, as our music started to come together we began palying in local Music Festivals and gradually started hitting bigger events. After winning Red Deer Collage's Battle of the Bands, we decided it was time to get more serious about our music and in March 2010 we recorded a professional 10 track, all original album at Skyraider Studios in Kelowna B.C. With producer, Travis Saunders.

It is impossible to classify Villians of the 1990's as a specific genre, as we all have our own musical influences, I guess you could say we are three different genres combined to make ONE STYLE. We each bring our own element to the band, and bring our own ways to the composition of the songs. Our influences would include such bands as Nirvana, Billy Talant, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Pearl Jam and Shinedown, to name a few.

For a trio, our sound is distinguishable and meaningful. We play the music that should be on the radio and listend to over and over, our sound is our own and we think that is what sets us apart, and will one day make us the missing brick in the wall of a great list of artist.

We ROCK HARD and really just have fun on stage! So oneday our waiting to be fans will get to hear and enjoy the sounds of the VIllains of the 1990's!
