Villa*Nova is another crazy hybrid band that were mixing things up at The Rebellion. Combining elements of rock, funk, and hip-hop, the band is an slowly garnering a growing fan base. They just released their WTF EP via Universal Republic Records, and are set to tour with Crossfade this summer. Prior to this year’s Rebellion, Villa*Nova toured in support of Evanescence. Columbia, South Carolina – (August 19, 2015) – Villa*Nova www.villanovarocks.com will release an independent album Tuesday, August 25 entitled “Thread of Life”. The (12) song LP is the band’s first full-length album since 2010.
Villa*Nova is back says front man, BC Villanova. Villa*Nova was signed to Universal Republic in 2011 and resided under the moniker Weaving The Fate 2012-2015.
The album takes the band back to its funky-pop-rock roots. “These songs are a therapeutic way for dealing with my life and a reflection of everything I have to be thankful for. I really wanted these songs to be uplifting and empowering to people, I’m not trying to write dark depressing rock songs anymore even though I have enjoyed my fair share of them” says BC Villanova.
The LP recorded at Plaugh’s House Recordings features artist Jordan Miller [formerly of The Movement] raps on “Give You My Name”. “Make It Easy” features beautiful piano work by Les Hall [Crossfade].
The soulful-alternative-rock CD release party is planned for Saturday, August 29th, 2015 at The Music Farm in Columbia, SC.
