Bio
Vimel considers himself a Soul Fusion artist. He has a unique style and voice with a collaborative tone of smooth vocals that intertwine the voices of Barry White and Lou Rawls with Dwele, Will Downing, and Maxwell. While those are his primary influences, Vimel possesses a strong love for all “good music” and creativity, which explains the soulful fusion you can expect to hear in his music. Although he grew up singing around the house for fun and loving all genres of music , while serving in the military at Tinker AFB, Vimel had a unique opportunity to tour with Tops in Blue, the Air Force's expeditionary entertainment group during their "Deja Blue" tour, celebrating 55 years of service. While working with the Tops in Blue, Vimel performed in a 90 minute variety show, giving him the experience of performing before a live audience. His debut album, "Euphoric" is available on iTunes and Amazon and has aired on various stations in the US and Overseas. More recently he has formed a Neo Jazz band, "Eclectic" and is a featured dancer in the San Diego Repertory Theater's production of "Storyville." Vimel's peculiar set of talents light up any stage anywhere. He is currently cast to play roles in Ragtime with CYC Theatre Ensemble and in the Odyssey at The Old Globe.
