The best kept secret in music

It's a pleasure to hear a palette of strong songs with perfect instrumentation and crafty lyrics. I love how "Bitch For Hound" combines that jazzy double bass with the twangy steel guitar and a bravura acoustical flavor of guitar and vocals. Songs like "Old Crow" and "Kiss This Fist" have a slightly different edge musically with the same imaginative lyrics and charming melodies. Another favorite is the up beat "Pot Pie Bride" - witty lyrics and bluegrass/folk music to complement this tasty song. These acoustic treatments have mass appeal with a collection of familiar genres in an unfamiliar style that warms the soul. "PIE" is as unique and splendid as the creative artwork that houses this delightful music.

Bio
Vince Allen started playing music when he was ten years-old and his Mom bought his first drum set. After spending his early teenage years banging away to a radio in a basement buried deep in Atlanta, Georgia's suburbs, he played in a string of high school punk bands.
Then he played in a string of college dropout punk bands.
Then he stopped playing in bands altogether.
Determined to get out of that basement and re-inspire his desire to play music, Vince moved to New York City and started playing guitar. There he discovered those years of singing over a drumset and blaring radio had paid off. He could hear himself sing and it wasn't all that bad.
Mixing acoustic guitar, pedal steel, and a jazz rhythm section with melodies rooted in traditional Southern folk and bluegrass, Vince's sound captures what is beautiful about where he comes from and what stirred him up and moved him away.
Vince appears on stage with his band, The Evil Reds.
