Bio

My latest project is the theme song, It Starts Here for Yarmouth and Acadian Shores Tourism. The lyrics are both in English and French and parts of it follow the same sequence as the Yarmouth and Acadian Shores website. It has been a great experience to work on this project with Gary Greene and Gary d’Eon! Watch Vince and friends on YouTube

I’m interested in having my songs commissioned for film, television and web projects in both French and English. Most of my songs are also available as instrumentals.

I am an Acadian born and raised on the scenic shores of West Pubnico, Yarmouth County, Nova Scotia, Canada.
Having played in a band as a young man, I discovered music was my passion. However, at the age of 19, I began commercial fishing for my livelihood. We would make long fishing trips to Georges Bank and the Gulf of Maine. It was on one of those long trips I started writing songs to keep my music alive. The very first commercial (Vernon d'Eon Lobster Plugs radio ad song) that I co-wrote with Myrna d'Entremont in 1987 is still on the air today on CJLS, CKBW, CIFA and CBC. The first two original songs I recorded I sent to the Songwriters Association of Canada (SAC) and was chosen by SAC to attend a Power Song Shop in Halifax NS. I am a member of Music Nova Scotia, Garage Band and SOCAN and SODRAC. I also have to my credit a Sound Course from The Canadian Conservatory of Music. I have been playing music for approximately 30 years. Growing up I was mostly influenced by the Eagles and the Beatles. After all these years my passion is still writing songs, which range from folk to country to rock.
My bylingual (French and English) songs have had local airplay since the 80’s. Living and working on and near the ocean has given me numerous ideas and continues to inspire me in my creative pursuits

Thank you, Vincent d'Entremont.
