Lyrics

Patch Em Up

Written By: Goodword

Chorus:

Some Shoot Down Birds
to watch em suffer
why am I the only guy
that likes to try to patch em up

They try to spread their wings
but only fludder
so they run run run run
and run run run

(repeat)

Verse:

It was magic
first glance outa practice
She seen all my moves
couldn't nathin slip past this
little winny with a slim waist
skinny as a stem vase
with the same type a curve
I might have turned
a little late
from starin at her middle waiste
somethin shiny hangin from her inny
Vinny's Favorite spot
It takes a lot to get me dumb and Tripin
like a vegan eatin stomach linin
she's a weakness for the toughest lion
She aint no lame gazel
momma had trained her well
not to break her shell for no crabs
but the way she smelled
was chillin after she had left the buildin
healin up my open wounds
aware that they'd been soakin through
my character
to show my true
bare and broken self
I'd been over delt
and clearly she'd been underhanded
probly wishin
I would play the card that she was missin
I tried to poker well
and nearly reach another planet
probly stickin
night and day
to hardly see the difference

(Chorus)

Verse:

She tried to run away once
but didn't make it far
trippin like a kid was on a mission
just to break her heart
this is a way to start
to stray from our relations
chasin me all down the street
when she was previously makin tracks
in the dirt
cause I would do the same
when I was lacin raps
she loved the music
but just hate the way I viewed it
as my main and prime priority
and lived my life accordingly
kinda sorta
keepin her at bay from the rat race
pathways to the bat cave
things she aint aware of
I don't wanna see my baby cryin
but she starts to trip and lose her grip
with all these ladies eyin
shootin shit
and maybe tryin to drop a couple hints
but I aint receptive
still my double trips
all complainin cause I paid attention
I hate rejection
so I aint tryin to reject
because I see that I would need
that same type of respect

(Chorus)

Verse:

she tried to run away twice
nobody came lookin
nobody clipped your wings
and locked you in a cage shnookems
cause I see plenty flyin by
and I aint tryin to hide
up in the coup
for any type of time
to watch you swoop out
some shoot down birds
to watch em suffer
but when days get this bad
I wish I had a twelve gauge
a six pack and big jack
cause six don't do shit now

and that is just another vice
you said we had a nice night
I made the picture perfect lover
life size
but don't recall a kiss
and money in my wallets missin
head is sorta achin
and I bet that there's a corolation
migrains, beers, ladies yellin in my ear
no cash flow
baby girl you better pass go
yeah that's low
but I aint got a lot to offer
late nights in the studio
and plastic bottle vodka
that's a model father
for your daughter
if you want her
skippin outa school
with any fool who get's a chance
to dig her out
and fool her like
that's what she never had
a man that's ther for her
I think you better run.

(Chorus)

Play Some Hip Hop

Written By: Goodword

Chorus:

Say You can Play Some Hip Hop
Well That's really all I got to give ya
Say that you won't make it stop
fer real I'm tryin to do the oppositte of that

Say You can Play Some Hip Hop
Well That's really all I got to give ya
Say that you won't make it stop
fer real I'm tryin to do the oppositte of that

Verse 1:

Rappers got paid
now they dance fer tips
and flash thier wrists
The rental metal lookin so clean
Damn, he used to flow mean
now his focus switched to liftin
and gettin his protien
Hey, Money changed honey's bangs
Scott Storch beat
gave a fuck what she sang
A lotta shit is still the same
broke rap artists
you could really feel the pain
Underground can ya dig
this shit gets pretty deep
you'll be happy that you did

That a Kid
Thanks fer rollin the weed after the show
That a kid
Seen me out in the streets
and let me know
That a kid is now rockin
with one option of the best shit out
if yer out in the crowd
you gotta sing it...

(Chorus)

Verse 2:

Hoppin in the back
of a stretched Catillac
This young superstar
shoulda read the contract...
and Probly offered to retract,
Somehow the main creator
now is not the benefactor
you can't rap bendin backwards
on one foot
unless yer hangin on some strings
The radio's options
are limited to top 10
you must feel like King Kong
yers is one a these songs
And I'm layin in my bed
Past noon
Godzilla standin on my head
and I'm lookin fer nostalgics
flippin through the channels
see what's cookin on the outlets
forty three was sure to be
my first stop at one time
dope video shows
no longer come tight
you gotta listen other places
pirate radio
outa some grandmothers basement
weekday student deejay
playlists makin reply to the cry come on

(Chorus)

There's a part of me inspired
yeah, a part of me is tired
but a large part of me
says we got a lot left
watch me rock the spot right
turn the heater up
fer people who caught the frosbite
it's chilly like yer swimmin with jaws
at Cronchite
When they rhyme
like they're drivin with blocked
exhaust pipes
everytime
these lyrics go no place
kinda like what happened
with yer promo tapes
beats should get the Low YoYo face
but these jockers are hopin
the profo don't break
What a waste of a Jam
and isn't it ironic
that it plays on 106
cut away from the plan
do you lead or follow
with story plots not hollow
cause for me pops not popular
Hip Hop you heard em broadcast
stacks hella low

that a kid
keep patrollin the scene to catcha show
that a kid
breezin through all the beats
fer better flow
that a kid
had the option of not droppin
but he's hooked
he's forced to reply
he can hear the culture cry out

(Chorus)
